The secretary to the sports’ minister, Mr Isa Bala, said the ministry has decided to hire Villas-Boas as the new Super Eagles coach because they really need to win the world cup in 2014.
Bala said, “I don’t think Stephen Keshi can lead the great Super Eagles into winning this upcoming world cup. He already showed his fears when he threatened to abandon the team if they should be in the same group as Brazil .
Well, thank God we were put in a good group but what if we are lucky to win our matches and then still later end up facing Brazil? For this reason , we have decided to hire the former Tottenham coach to help us. We thank God for allowing him to get sacked after Suarez beat Tottenham 5-0 on Sunday. We are sure he has learnt his lessons and we have great confidence that he would bring the world cup home for the Nigerian team.”
Isa Bala further stated that Stephen Keshi will not be sacked either as he would be working as assistant coach for Andre.
News reaching Hot Swen Media however, is that the sports ministry has erroneously signed an agreement to pay Andre Villas-Boas 3 million pounds thinking they signed for 3 million naira, mistaking the Pounds sign £ for the Naira sign
